Summer Adventures

What an awesome summer we have had so far. So much going on, but every minute has been an adventure. What have we done, well, it all started with a trip to Washington for an awesome family reunion, camping in the rain, playing in Couer de lene and Seattle, and enjoying great time with family. Then Dance Camp for Kaelyn and then Hills Alive with some great friends and great music. Then down to Buena Vista Colorado to see Micah and even got to catch my parents for an evening. Micah took us on a trip down the beautiful Arkansas River and Kelci came along to watch the cute kiddos. Then Kevin went hiking in the Bighorns with the church and almost made it to the top of Cloud's Peak but the wind picked up too much to make it safetly. In two days we head back to Colorado to have the boys (Kevin, Greg, and Billy) climb the Mount of the Holy Cross, and us girls (Heather and I) and kiddos are going to play in Denver. Then we get a two week break and Jason and Rachel from Indiana are coming for a great vacation. Another 2 week break and then back to Colorado for a Hutchison family reunion. We will have done it all this summer. So glad to have fabulous kiddos that roll with the punches so well and are fun to travel with.

Speaking of great kiddos, Kaelyn is a fabulous big sister and a great helper. She loves to cook and play with her animals these days. She is mastering her bike well now that we tweaked it a bit. She is starting to put her head under the water at the pool too because she sees the other kids doing it. Soon she will be a little fish. She loves getting together with her friends and always wants to show them things or teach them things. She is very excited about everything in life and wants to share it with others. We love our Kaelyn.

And then Miss Lily is growing like a weed, doing so many big girl things. About a week and a half ago she started pulling up on things and two days ago she started sitting herself up from her tummy on the floor. She babbles lots and says Momma "Mummmm" when she is sad. She eats well when she can feed herself. Baby food mush is a thing of the past already. She has two teeth and a beautiful smile. She is just like Kaelyn and loves her bath sooooo much. If you turn on the water, she can't get in the tub fast enough. She is becoming a better sleeper. Goes down at 7:30 and wakes usually after 4am, eats, and then sleeps til about 6:30. Much better these days. If only mommy could go to bed earlier. I love my kid free time though to get some things done with my brain to myself. What else is she doing these days. She loves to walk when you hold her hands. She is still quite the momma's girl and throws quite the fit about it when she doesn't have me, but she is becoming more independent. I can't get enough of this little girl.

We have learned that there is nothing like just having one child to give your attention to, but we wouldn't change that for anything, just lots of learning to share time well. Enjoying our house and our new chicks. God has been so good to us. We feel so blessed.
