Helping Mommy Out

Kaelyn is quite a trooper. She has been helping me a ton with some crazy projects around the house. This week, the Steedman women came over and helped me do some tiling. I was teaching Angie how to do it cause she has tons to do at her house as well. Kaelyn got to play with the girls. Then, Kaelyn helped me plant some veggies in some planters. This is my first time to have a "garden" so we will see how it goes. Then, today, we laid a ton of sod and poured part of a sidewalk. The pictures tell the stories the best. My fabulous friends came to assist in the project today. Kathleen and the Koehns were a huge blessing. It would have beena very daunting process otherwise, so thank you guys soooooo much. And thanks dad for the "leftover concrete" (crazy story there) and the help getting all nice and smooth.

What is this stuff?

feels kind of funny?

Kaelyn loves laundry baskets.  She is great at tossing everything out

Guess what???? We went to the zoo again

My Cousin Steph was in town on Wednesday, so we headed out to the zoo with her, my cousin Cherie, and my sister and mom and all of the kiddos. We had a great time as always, so enjoy the cute pics.

This poor girl was bombarded with birds.  Don't ever enter with your own food around.

We actually got all six girls in one pic.  Amazing!!

Daddy got to Come Home

We got to have a fabulous Easter weekend cause daddy got to come home for a nice 4 1/2 day visit. We got to have our family together again. Yeah!!! Kaelyn was very happy to get to see her daddy. We got a cute video of it. She was so excited. We were lazy most of the weekend, but took care of a few important things. We washed cars, watched movies, played with Kaelyn and baby goats, and moved all of the goat supplies into my parents dog pen. Thank you dad and mom. It has been a great blessing knowing they are safe and easier to care for there. We have started milking Babe and Kaelyn looovvves the milk. It won't be too much longer and we will be giving up nursing, so it is a great blessing that she loves her milk.
Kevin and I also splurged went to the Tinker BX and got new laptops. We were both in great need for him to do work and me to have space and ability to protect and work with all of our family memories and finances. We also can now webcam so Kevin can get to see Kaelyn grow up a little bit more, cause he has to stay in the army for the whole year.
We got to spend Easter at my parent's and we had a fabulous feast and a fun time. It was the first time in a long time that we adults all got to play a game together. The kiddos were sleeping, or trying to sleep. It was a nice change of events. So, we had a fabulous weekend and a wonderful Easter. What a blessing it all was

Playing with friends

Monday was a very busy and wonderful day for Kaelyn and I. We first started off at our mommy's group for and Easter party. It was so much fun. Kaelyn greatly enjoyed all of the cute kiddos, and I feel so blessed to get to meet with so many wonderful mommas. We haven't been able to make it in a few weeks, so this was a great blessing. Becky fixed us a wonderful meal. There wasn't a single thing that Kaelyn didn't enjoy trying. She even loved the spinach dip. She has become quite the drama queen though. She had stuffed a whole cracker in her mouth and I had to take it back out to break it in pieces and she screamed like the world was going to end. Then as soon as I put a piece in her mouth, she stopped instantly and went yumyumyum yum. Such a silly girl. We then had an easter egg hunt. Kaelyn enjoyed picking up the eggs, but didn't want to let go of them to put them in her basket.
Later that day, we got to go and see Amy, Lucy and Trigg. It was so good to see them. Kaelyn enjoyed trying to chase the puppy, Murphy, around. Lucy wasn't too excited about Kaelyn playing with her balloons, but it ended up that she was right. kaelyn popped a couple of them. Oops. Trigg is quite the handsome little fella. Amy and I got to take about our obsession with cloth diapers and just catch up on life. It is so good to have such wonderful friends. I hope that you guys have a safe flight home and are happy to back in your own beds.

Mommy's Keys are quite the facsination

Look at that pretty momma

They are here!!!

This afternoon, I looked outside and Pappy was staring into the goat pen and calling at him would not make him budge or change his gaze. My mom walked out to check it out and there were two baby goats in there. Yeah!! They finally came. Oh course they picked a rainy day, but oh well. They are soooo cute and sweet. I had no idea that they could be so noisy. They actually sound just like a baby. Babe is doing so well and is a good momma. When we first saw them, we also saw a coyote in the near distance, so we had to move the goats to my dad's barn. It was a great blessing to be able to do that. They are warm and cozy now. Enjoy the pics.
