Oh wow,
I can't believe how much time has passed. The days and weeks have been rolling by, but are so much fun. Lily has been growing so fast and doing so many new things. She is now 5 months old and has learned how to army crawl, rolls all over the place, and squeals with delight and with frustration. Her sister is the only one that make her laugh, which is so precious. Kaelyn loves her dearly. No teeth yet, but boy does this girl want to eat. She squeals so much when we are eating food and if you have a drink, she will let you know just how much she wants it. We have given her water out of our glasses and she loves it. She has also sucked on a strawberry.
Our precious Lily is still not sleeping through the night, not even close. She is up every 3 hours. Someday, I am sure. It has to happen someday. She is growing beautifully, right in the 50% for height and weight. She knows just how to get to what she wants on the ground or in her bed. She is pretty much in line with Kaelyn with her motor skills and her personality. Seperation anxiety is a biggie right now. She LOVES her momma and is not too pleased with anyone else. She will play with others from a distance, but doesn't want anyone else to hold her. Daddy is the only one that can get some good time in, but after a little while she just wants mommy back. She goes into all out wailing, but the moment she gets in mommy's arms, it ceases.
Kaelyn has been a fabulous big sister. She doesn't ever seem to be jealous of Lily and wants to be a part of what is going on all the time. She wants to be there when Lily wakes up and gives her toys and makes her laugh, and doesn't like it when Lily cries. She takes Lily's toys sometimes too, but what 2 year old wouldn't at times. Kaelyn is loving dance class and enjoying her friends. She has mastered the computer and knows how to access anything she wants on it. She is also learning to read and learning a bit of Spanish. Kids are amazing. She is sounding out words and has several memorized. She comes up with all sorts of words of her own too. Very creative.
Kaelyn seems to be becoming a pretty good photographer these days. She has gotten ahold of my camera a few times and has captured some things that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. She also has been very creative. We are impressed.
We moved into our new home the beginning of April and it is going well. Still lots of work to be done, but plugging away little by little. Very ready for our kitchen countertops so we can have a kitchen sink. Thank goodness for a dishwasher though, so we don't have to do all the dishes in the bathtub. The rec center opened and is tons of fun. Kaelyn has enjoyed the new pool and what a nice place to workout in. Hopefully someday we will be in shape again.
I think that is about all for now. Just getting ready for a big B-day for Kaelyn and for a busy but exciting summer ahead.
