January Adventures

Boy oh boy has is been a busy month. Not really ready for it to be over yet, but it is winding down. We started off by heading to Colorado to meet up with my fam at the cabin and get to be introduced to Micah's girlfriend. We picked her up in Denver and had the wonderful pleasure of driving her to the cabin. A great chance to get to know her well and we think Micah has great tastes. We had a fun time just hanging out at the cabin and keeping up with our kiddos. Poor Kaelyn got a stinky croup bug so no skiing for her and mommy, but lots of fun just being lazy and we did manage going sledding and a quick trip on the snowmobile.

We then headed back to Denver and stayed the night with Rainey which was a great blessing. It was good to get to see her and catch up. The next day we got on a plane and headed to Santa Cruz, CA for the Girls Just Want to Have Fun conference (a praise and worship conference led by some neat Christian Women). It was a beautiful place to be and a very refreshing time. Learned a lot more about who God is and got to share a fun time with our precious family.

As soon as we got home, Kaelyn and Kevin came down with a yucky virus. 5 days later, Lily and I got it. It has been a mean respiratory bug that landed Lily in the hospital for a night for observation and we all have ear infections and sinus infections. I feel blessed though that we have some great dr's around here that have taken very good care of us. I feel safe in the times that we have had to be under their care. We are all on the mend.

Kevin has been working very hard on our house and is getting close to finishing up the plumbing. When it is done and we have inspecters pass us, we get to throw up some sheet rock and we will really be getting close to moving in. I am amazed at what he is being able to get done. Such a blessing to have him doing it.

Lastly, Lily weighs in at 10 # 4 oz at 7weeks of age. She is not sleeping through the night yet like Kaelyn was at this point, but as you can see from the whirl wind of January, there has been no consistant schedule. She is doing great and we are so in love with her. Back to work tomorrow for mommy.
